Hyphens Pharma has extended its partnership with Germany’s medac to include Thailand and Cambodia for the commercialisation of the Metoject subcutaneous autoinjector pen. The territory extension builds on the existing agreement signed in March 2025, which granted Hyphens Pharma exclusive rights to register and commercialise the pen in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

Metoject is approved and available in over 15 countries in Europe, the United States and Japan, and is recognised as a first-line treatment for rheumatoid arthritis under both European and American guidelines. The subcutaneous methotrexate injection is indicated for rheumatoid arthritis and plaque psoriasis, offering better bioavailability and reduced gastrointestinal side effects compared with oral methotrexate. The development is not expected to have a material impact on Hyphens Pharma’s net tangible assets or earnings per share for the current financial year.
