Hyphens Pharma has granted Swiss dermatology house Louis Widmer SA the rights to commercialise its Cerapro® MED Skin Barrier Cream across six European countries: Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Under the out-licensing agreement, Hyphens Pharma will receive an upfront fee and customary royalties on sales, with product launch targeted for 2026.
Cerapro® is a patented, skin pH lowering cream approved for the treatment of atopic dermatitis as a CE-marked medical device under the European Medical Device Regulation. Elevated skin pH and impaired skin barrier function are key drivers of the condition, and lowering skin pH also supports the skin’s inherent antimicrobial defence system. Louis Widmer, a family company founded in 1960 with its head office near Zurich, will promote Cerapro® to dermatologists and paediatricians in the agreed markets, with the product set to become the new flagship of its Remederm line for dry, very dry and atopic skin.
